Where and How to buy Art Supplies during Ontario’s Lockdown
Ontario is now in a Province wide lockdown and I know staying creative has really helped a lot of us get through this last turbulent year. But it can be hard to keep stocked up on Art supplies when retail shops are closed.
Now more than ever it is so important to support small businesses instead of the big box stores or Amazon. To make it easy, I’ve compiled a list of local shops/stores and how to reach them or buy from them during the Province Wide Lockdowns.
I'm in Kitchener so these locations are all in the Tri-Cities. Information is taken from their websites/social media and is subject to change.

The Art Store of Waterloo
Full disclosure, I work there part time (when we aren’t on lockdown) so I am a bit biassed, but this is my favourite store in Waterloo. Great small shop, friendly staff and they stock my favourite Holbein Watercolours! They know all my favourite art supplies! Call or email for curb side pick up or shipping and tell them I sent you!

Wyndham Art Supplies
An amazing store I discovered as an art student at the University of Guelph. The have a great website to shop. They are offering curb side pick up of prepaid items only. Monday - Saturday 10 - 4. Pre-paid orders only.
Stockade
A bit more of a craft store in Guelph, but they have a lot of great finds! They carry Waterlily Brushes that I really love. These are a great Vegan Friendly (synthetic) Watercolour brush at a good price!
Website offers delivery across Canada or contactless pick up.
State of the Art Supplies
Another gem in Uptown Waterloo. You can shop online and I believe they have curbside pick up and shipping options.

Lovely shop in Cambridge with a variety of products for artists or people who love writing! Offers Shipping or Curbside pick up.
Calling Crow Communications
Located in St. Jacobs, they have Watercolour paper, notebooks and some unique art supplies including brush markers! They are offering curbside pickup and delivery in KW. Call, email or DM them on social media!
